Primary Financial Solutions is a family run financial advice practice. Our advisors are able to help clients across the country and are supported by the Client Support Team based in our Head Office, set in the idyllic settings of Upham on the outskirts of Winchester.
ABOUT PRIMARY FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS
Primary Financial Solutions was founded to help clients across the UK who need personalised financial advice. Since opening in 2012 the majority of our clients are still with us today. We have worked closely with our clients to improve and enhance their financial future and this approach has seen the demands and needs of our clients grow. The changing requirements of our client base led to us improving the service we offer which is mortgage advice from the whole of market and financial planning.
Meet Our Team
David Maccabe - Director
David has been working in financial services for 25 years starting his career with the Prudential as a Financial Advisor before taking the step to form Primary Financial Solutions. David felt that he could offer his clients a bespoke service that helped them get exactly what they need from their finances.
Outside of work David is a family man. He has two children and enjoys spending time with them and his wife Suzanne. You can find him most weekends starting some sort of DIY project at his or friends’ houses.
Interesting Fact about David: David was the Head Boy at his school although the office finds it more interesting that he was also the school’s ping pong champion.

Ian Nance - Director
Ian has been working in financial services for 31 years. He is a qualified Mortgage Advisor and enjoys working with new and existing clients to get them a mortgage that suits their needs and personal circumstances. His straightforward and honest approach to mortgage advice is refreshing and something his clients appreciate throughout the mortgage process.
Outside of work, Ian has three grown up children with his wife Sue. He is a fan of most sports although his main love resides with Chelsea Football Club. Ian has always taken an interest in grass roots football and over the years has coached and managed teams for his local village club.
Interesting Fact about Ian: Ian’s nickname is Pluto but nobody knows why.

Suzanne Maccabe - Associate Director
Suzanne has been involved in mortgage processing for the best part of 18 years. On a daily basis she uses her experience to help the Client Support Team to deliver the high level of knowledge and service that our clients have come to expect. She also puts her number skills to good use by looking after the Accounts and reporting to Directors.
Outside of work, Suzanne has two adult children with husband David and a cockapoo called Darcie. Hobbies include anything animal related including horses and dog walks and trying to get David to leave the office at a reasonable hour.
Interesting Fact about Suzanne: Suzanne is a keen pianist and has played since the age of 5. The majority of her family live in Australia.

Indianna Gray - Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Indianna joined Rachel Campbell Associates in 2016 as an apprentice administrator. After completing her apprenticeship, she took a keen interest in the mortgage world, qualifying as a mortgage adviser in 2018. A valued member of the team. Indianna moved on to further her knowledge completing her Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice and following that with her Lifetime Mortgage qualification, she has been keen to learn all she can in order to give her clients the best advice possible.
Outside of work Indianna enjoys socialising with her fiancé Matt, friends & family.. (usually out for dinner!) and holidaying with Matt and Pals… her favourite place to visit is New York.
Interesting fact about Indianna: Indie once met Jenson Button at Good Wood Festival of Speed.. and due to it being her birthday, he let her sit in his racing car and put his helmet on before the race!

Karen Mitchell - Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Karen has been working in the Mortgage Industry for 20 years during which time she has gained much experience working with different clients and specialising in all types of mortgages and protection needs. Karen understands that her clients have different work/life patterns so understands that flexibility is key so can accommodate appointments at different times.
In Karen’s spare time she enjoys spending time and running around after her two young boys, and likes to try out cooking new dishes. She is also a keen traveller.
Interesting Fact about Karen: Prior to her career in the mortgage world, she spent a brief sunny period living in Los Angeles.

Stacy Simpson - Wealth Associate
Stacy has taken on a new role as head of Wealth Planning here at Primary Financial Solutions, having worked in financial services for the past 17 years, she has great overall experience across the spectrum of financial services we offer.
Over the past 17 years she has completed an NVQ in customer service, her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, her Certificate in Regulated Insurance and most recently her Diploma for Financial Advisers. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
When she isn’t busy working, Stacy has two daughters, three cats and a husband at home who all keep her busy! After purchasing a house and then finally tying the knot in August 2023, Stacy thought she would then start renovations straight away on the house. Consequently, the winter months have brought wind and rain most days, outside and inside!
Interesting Fact about Stacy: Stacy claimed this year to be a whizz at rollerblading. However, soon after this comment she suffered two fractures to her arm after falling at her daughters birthday party before the kids had even shown up. Stacy can also tie two cherry stalks in a knot with her tongue! When asked for proof Stacy admitted that, along with the rollerblading, her knot tying days are over too.

Kate Gorrie
Kate has been in financial services for 15 years starting her career with nationwide as a mortgage underwriter, Kate then decided that she wanted to be closer to the client and sought an opportunity working for a large south coast broker. She immensely enjoyed this role as it provided her with the opportunity to use her underwriting expertise to get her clients the outcome they desired.
Outside of work Kate enjoys skiing and gardening along with keeping fit and being sociable.
Interesting Fact about Kate: Kate once swam around the Burj Al Arab in Dubai for charity.

Claire Tappin
Claire has been in financial services for 19 years working in client support roles assisting advisors and clients on a daily basis.
Outside of work Claire enjoys traveling with her partner in their recently acquired camper van. Also, Claire has taken a great interest in up cycling furniture she really enjoys seeing a piece of furniture take a new lease of life.
Interesting Fact about Claire: Claire traveled through California with her son and accidentally ended up on a bus going through Compton.

Daisy Spake
Daisy joined Primary Financial Solutions in 2021 as a Business Administration apprentice. During her time at Primary, Daisy has become a very versatile member of the team. She passed her apprenticeship last year with flying colours and has since joined Stacy in the Wealth Department where she is thriving in her new role. She enjoys keeping the office plants watered to make sure they are in better condition than they were when she joined. She encourages the team with daily motivational quotes from an app that she accidentally bought a years’ subscription for from the app store!
Outside of work, Daisy enjoys socialising and spending time at the gym.
Interesting Fact about Daisy: Daisy was born with a tooth.

Kim Millar
Kim joined the team in January 2023 and we couldn’t be happier. She provides admin support to a team of advisers taking the client through the application from submission to completion. We are immensely proud of how Kim has adapted coming from an altogether different industry in retail. She has picked up the mortgage process really quickly and is a great addition to the team. Her dedication to the clients is second to none and she can often be heard going above and beyond.
Outside of work, Kim has a busy household consisting of 2 boys, 1 nephew, 3 dogs, her husband and her mother.
Interesting fact about Kim: Kim is American. She enjoys arts and craft and can whip up any animal with a crochet needle. She also challenges anyone to beat her at backgammon.
